Garfield Park, located at Shelby Street and Garfield Drive, is one of the beauty spots of the City.  Its Greenhouses, Sunken Gardens, Fountains, Swimming Pool and Outdoor Theatre attract crowds day and night.  Its athletic fields serva a wide area.

Garfield Park is distinctive for its beautiful sunken gardens, illuminated fountain and greenhouses.  A promenade balcony of three floors overlooks the gardens.  The park contains bathing pools for adults and children, an open air theatre and a community building with an assembly hall seating five hundred persons.

The 25 city parks comprise a total area of 1,829 acres, affording facilities for every known outdoor sport.  Four aviation fields are within these parks, also a casting pool.  The beautiful sunken gardens in Garfield Park attract many visitors.

The Scottish Rite Cathedral, located on North Meridian Street, between North and Walnut Streets, was completed in 1927.  This masterpiece of old-world architecture is widely known for its exteriror and interior beauty.  Its carillon is among the finest in the country.

Indiana State House.  The capitol building, seat of state government, was erected in 1878 and is of Corinthian architecture.  Located on a nine-acre square, it is bounded by Washington and Ohio streets and Capital and Senate avenues.  The Governor's office, chambers of the two houses of the legislature, the state courts and several other offices are in this building.

Arthur Jordan Memorial Hall, on Butler University's Fairview campus, was completed in 1928 at a cost of more than one million dollars.  Constructed of granite and limestone it houses colleges of liberal arts, sciences, education, journalism and business administration.  More than 4800 students are enrolled in the day and evening schools, which include a school of religion.

Completed in 1901, it is the third highest shaft in America.  It memoralizes four epochs in the history of Indiana - the period of the Revolution, the War With Mexico, the War of 1812, and the War For The Union.  Many huge statues surround its base and overlook its fountain pools.  A museum occupies its basement.  An observation platform, reached by an elevator, is near its 284 1/2 foot peak.  Located in Monument Circle, in the heart of the downtown area, it was built and is maintained by the State of Indiana.

Moore was an agent for the Famous Wells-Fargo Stages.  He had a dispute with a man over a package; both men died as the result of the gun battle that followed.

These five men were found guilty of killing several people in a store robbery in Bisbee and all hanged on one scaffold in the Court House yard on March 8, 1884.

Scene of the Earp Clanton feud fight in Tombstone, Ariz., "The town too tough to die."  Three men were killed and several injured in the fight that took place between the Lawmen and the outlaws during the waning of  Tombstone's Hey Days with Marshal Wyatt Earp, his brother and Doc Holliday on one side and the Clanton Clan on the other.  Tombstone is located on U.S Hiway 80, 23 miles south of Benson, Arizona and is visited by thousands yearly.
