"TIKI GODS"
The legend of these Giant Tiki Gods, worshipped by the natives of Easter island and other Polynesian areas, is that big boned white men, reputed to be Danes, came to the islands centuries ago and were thought to be gods by the natives.  These Tiki Gods are still in existence in Easter Island and other Polynesian islands.  Hence the name "Tiki Gardens".

Unfortunately this is another cool attraction that is long gone.  You can find a little more information at the following sites:

Fort Myers, Florida

Thomas A. Edison called Ft. Myers his "adopted home" from 1885 when he first came here, until 1931, the year of his death.  On the grounds of his estate, where he maintained his laboratory, he planted elaborate botanical gardens containing rare tropical plants.  It was Edison who brought the first Royal Plams to Ft. Myers "The City of Palms."
