Washington, Pennsylvania

Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, outstanding in architecture.  One of the most beautiful of Washington's many churches.

Washington and Jefferson College
McIlvain Hall, which houses the Biology Department of Washington and Jefferson College, is a memorial to Judge John McIlvaine, Class of 1865.  W&J was founded in 1781 and is located in Washington, Pa.  It is an independent liberal arts college for men.  McIlvaine Hall included the John L.Stewart Tower with its four-faced clock and carillon of twenty six notes.
