White Springs, Florida

“Belle of Suwannee” – Motor propelled paddle wheel boat for pleasure trips on the Suwannee River, made famous by the immortal song, “Old Folks at Home” or “Way Down Upon de Swanee Ribber,” Stephen Foster Memorial, White Springs, Florida on U.S. 41.

“Way Down Upon The Suwanee River”
The Suwanee River, immortalized in song by Stephen Foster, rises in the Okefenokee Swamp and winds for 200 miles through northern Florida and flows into the Gulf of Mexico.
