Majestic Blue Mountain, which rises to an altitude of 3808 feet, overlooks Blue Mountain Lake and Village.  Central Adirondack Mountains, N.Y.

Blue Mountain Lake with Blue Mountain in the background.  The highest large lake in the Northeast - nearly 2000' above sea level.  Its natural, unspoiled beauty is unsurpassed.  Fishing fine!  Rated best in New York State in low pollen count; especially favorable to asthma and hay fever sufferers.  Inquire Blue Mountain Lake Association, Blue Mountain Lake, N.Y., for information concerning Hotels, Resorts, Lodges, Tourist Homes, Boat Liveries, etc.

The Steamboat Landing is located on the eastern shore of Blue Mountain Lake, noted as one of the most beautiful lakes in the Central Adirondacks.  The peak of Blue Mountain, elevation 3825 feet, can be seen in the background.

  1. This place looks beautiful! It's funny that one postcard talks about pollen and such. My grandparents owned a second house (a lakeside cabin in a place called Sandy Run) when they lived in Southern Illinois. Grandma would go up there to stay certain times of year when she suffered from Hay Fever.

  2. Sandy Run is also in Southern Illinois. I didn't mean to imply it was on Blue Mountain Lake. But it must have enjoyed a similar low pollen count.
