Sections of a giant log, which measures over 4 feet in diameter, are scattered around the landscape.

Agate Bridge, petrified log over 100 feet long which grew and fell before the rocks in this canyon were formed.  See this and many more natural wonders at the Petrified Forest National Park just off Interstate Highway 180 in Northern Arizona.
