First visited by the Spanish in 1540, Grand Canyon has remained a source of exploration and study and a mecca for sightseers from all corners of the earth.

Light and shadow as seen from the snow-white limestone Cliffs.  Pima Point's extensive outlook is a marvelous spectacle.

On Kaibab Trail at base of Yaki Point.  to be fully appreciated, the Grand Canyon should be seen from both, top and bottom.  For exploring the inner recesses of the chasm, there are two excellent trails from the South Rim to the Colorado River.
