The Painted Desert, Arizona

Colorful Painted Desert, Arizona
The Painted Desert lies southeast of the Grand Canyon in the valleys and canyons along the Little Colorado River and to points just east of Holbrook.
It is a highly colored area of sand and rock erosion, where the stratified sections display many contrasting colors and hues.
