Inaugural ball gown worn by Jacqueline Kennedy, wife to President John F. Kennedy, on the night of January 20, 1961.  The dress is displayed in the collection of dresses, First Ladies hall, Museum of History and Technology, Smithsonian Institution.

The dresses of Martha Washington, Abigail Adams, and Martha Jefferson Randolph are shown in a drawing room as it might have looked in the Executive Mansion at 190 High Street in Philadelphia, 1790-1797.  First Ladies Hall, Museum of History and Technology, Smithsonian Institution.

The exhibit displays dresses of Julia Dent Grant, Lucy Webb Hayes, Lucretia Rudolph Garfield, Mary Arthur McElroy, Rose Elizabeth Cleveland, Caroline Scott Harrison, and Mary Harrison McKee, in a setting reminiscent of the White House Blue Room during the Grant administration.  The First Ladies Hall, Museum of History and Technology, Smithsonian Institution.
