The Hune Bridge – Located in Lawrence Twp. Washington County, #27 still stands just East of S.R. 26.  This timber crossing was built by Rollin Meredith, a contractor from Marietta, Ohio 1877.  The 126’ Howe Truss derived its name from one of the first families, the Hunes, who settled along the Little Muskingum 1871 at Lawrence, Ohio.  A town now extinct.

Constructed by the Union Army during the Siege of Petersburg (1864-65). Named after Gen. John Sedgwick, but nicknamed Fort Hell because of the constant cannon fire it poured on the Confederate lines. Open year ‘round. View of Magazine and Artillery Officers’ Headquarters.

This tiny creature of the Lemur Monkey family, native of Madagascar, is the Mungoose Lemur.  At one time there were 26 different species of the Lemur, but today there are but 6 known and are very scarce.  this tiny Lemur and hundreds of other animals make their home in the Creature land of Florida, the North Miami Zoo - Flower - Hibiscus.

Sausage Tree, Riviera Gardens, Miami

The Sausage Tree (Kigelia Pinnata) also sometimes called the Fetish Tree, is a native of tropical Africa.  It has rough Pinnate Leaves, and flowers which have a rather peculiar appearance and hang suspended by long peduncles.  From each flower a large fruit develops.  These fruits have the appearance of big sausages, and doubtless have given the tree its name.
