Clermont, Florida


Clermont-Groveland Elks Lodge #1848 located at 705 Minneola Ave. at Seventh St., in Clermont, Florida.  Built in 1955.  It includes lodge hall, recreation room, lounge and lunch service for members.

"Governors' Grove" located 3 miles south of the Citrus Tower on Highway U.S. 27, Clermont, Florida.  Each Governor of the United States and Territories had a tree and 400 square feet of land presented to him at the Governors' Conference in Miami Beach, Florida, in 1958 by the Minute Maid Corporation.  The fruit from each tree will be picked and sent tot the Governor of each State every year.  The grove is maintained by the Minute Maid Corporation.  Visitors, Welcome!

  1. I had no idea about Clermont's chain of lakes. That Governor's Grove sounds really cool. I wonder if Minute Maid still gets juice from Clermont.
