This is a general view of the public lobby in the General Assembly Building at the United nations Headquarters.
I can't look at this view and not think of Cary Grant as Roger Thornhill and his fateful visit to the UN in Alfred Hitchcock's North By Northwest.

A view of the General Assembly Hall in the United Nations Headquarters.  Those are seats for 626 delegates, 270 observers, 234 members of the press and 800 visitors.  The murals in the General Assembly Hall are the work of the French artist Fernand Leger.

Security Council Chamber
A general view of the Security Council Chamber in the United Nations Headquarters, New York.  The Chamber was designed by Arnstein Arneberg of Norway and the large mural was painted by the Norwegian artist Per Krohg.  The Norwegian Government contributed toward the cost of the decoration of the Chamber.
