Clayton, Georgia

Beautiful Northeast Georgia
The Tallulah River pictured in a colorful valley high in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Clayton, Georgia.  It flows through the great electric power reservoirs of Lake Burton, Nacooche, Rabun, Tallulah, Tugaloo and Yonah, then helps to form the Tugaloo River and ultimately the Savannah River.  In its upper reaches the little river furnishes beautiful picnic spots on U.S. Highways 23 and 441 between Tallulah and Clayton.

Beautiful Northeast Georgia
Stekoa Falls - Near Clayton, Georgia
Gay, dancing, singing Stekoa Creek becomes a shimmery veil, waved saucily by every whimsical breeze, as it drops from a high jutting ledge, just a quarter of a mile from new U.S. 23 and 441, three miles south of Clayton.  Rabun County is famous for its many beautiful waterfalls and its picturesque mountain scenery.

  1. "Gay, dancing, singing...shimmery veil, waved saucily by every whimsical breeze..." Brian, did the postcard really say all of that? Saucy!
