Golden Lion Tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia)

This beautiful small monkey survives only in a few small patches of coastal forest in Brazil.  In one of the most successful programs of its kind, zoos have bred and then returned golden lion tamarins to Brazil to augment the dwindling wild population.
