Indianapolis, Indiana

The James Whitcomb Riley home is located at 528 Lockerbie Street. Open to visitors.

The Scottish Rite Cathedral, located on North Meridian Street, between North and Walnut Streets, was completed in 1927.  This masterpiece of old-world architecture is widely known for its exteriror and interior beauty.  Its carillon is among the finest in the country.

Indiana State House.  The capitol building, seat of state government, was erected in 1878 and is of Corinthian architecture.  Located on a nine-acre square, it is bounded by Washington and Ohio streets and Capital and Senate avenues.  The Governor's office, chambers of the two houses of the legislature, the state courts and several other offices are in this building.
