Fredericksburg, Virginia
The home of Mary Ball Washington, whose son became the first President of the United States. She spent her last 17 years here. The house and the kitchen are original buildings.

 
Hugh Mercer’s Apothecary Shop
Fredericksburg, Virginia
The apothecary shop still stands as he left it when he went away to die a General and a hero at Princeton, during the Revolutionary War.

Fredericksburg, Virginia
This is the only house still standing in which George Washington’s mother lived. Here he came to tell her goodbye for the last time.
Owned since 1890 by the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities.
