Black Hills, South Dakota

Mount Rushmore
Carved from solid granite, in the Central Black Hills, under the direction of the late Gutzon Borglum, this is one of the most massive sculptures ever completed.  The individual faces of our Presidents are seen here in a striking close-up.

The Black Hills
The endless beauty so abundant in the Black Hills is evidenced by this thrilling view of a gorgeous sunst highlighting the top-most spires of the Needles.

Buffalo
Truly the "Monarch of the Plains," the Buffalo, once nearly extinct has made a remarkable recovery through concerned planning and now may be seen in large herds in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
